Bring happiness home with Henley Lockdown Fest. Two days of inspiring online entertainment in support of the NHS and Riverside Counselling. The festival is free to attend, with donations welcome.

Saturday 2nd May

Henley Lockdown Fest Intro by host Graham Bell

Graham Bell is a British Olympic skier, TV presenter, adventurer and journalist who continues to be regarded as one of the finest downhill skiers the UK has ever produced, claiming the title of the Ski Champion of Britain on eight occasions during his illustrious career.

Graham will be Henley Lockdown Fest official host for the entire weekend and will be ready to introduce our exciting programme.

Slow Flow Yoga with Green Leaves Yoga

Sally is a Henley Based Yoga teacher, offering a heartfelt teaching which includes breath work, movement and relaxation.

Join Sally for a 45 minute Yoga Class and expect a gentle, rhythmic pace to strengthen and heal the body and mind.

Finish with a wind down journey into deep meditation and relaxation bliss.

The class is available to everyone!!

Get Fit with Fitness Space

Fitness Space is located in the heart of Henley-on-Thames. We Provide personal training, state of the art the equipment and a variety of classes. While outside of the studio members have an App that provides access to bespoke and general fitness programmers and the opportunity to connect with their personal coach for motivation and further guidance. This is to ensure that members never train alone.

Fitness Space will provide a fun family workout to join in, no equipment necessary to all come together and create a community workout.

Crockers Henley Go Saturday Kitchen Live

Tom Westerland joins us from the latest food offering in town, Crockers. As head chef, Tom tells us he can’t wait to get started in Henley and is really looking forward to bringing us one of his signature dishes which you can expect to see on their menu.

In 2018 Tom was crowned National Chef of Wales and followed this up as a Welsh finalist in 2019 on Great British Menu. Welcome to Henley Tom!

Acoustic Lockdown Sessions featuring Hover Fly

Hover Fly (aka. Katie Moberly) is a composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist known and loved by many Henley folk, having grown up there herself. Her debut single, inspired by a piece of moss hitting her in the face and which was premiered on BBC 6 Music and Soho Radio, will be out this May. Expect quirky folk melodies over jazz-infused harmony and rhythms.

Conveniently in this strange time, Hover Fly lives with half her bandmates! Together they will bring you a collection of solo songs, acoustic jams and improvised tunes to brighten your day.

Acoustic Lockdown Sessions featuring Megan Henwood

A real Henley favourite, Megan is a singer,songwriter and guitarist – she has released three original albums on Dharma Records as well as penning songs for many other artists and projects across different genres. She’s toured extensively on the acoustic roots circuit and had singles playlisted on BBC Radio 2. What better way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon?

You can expect an acoustic set of Megan’s originals from past albums plus a few new songs she is working on for a new project.

Dinner with Paul Clerehugh

A familiar face to many, Paul is Chef Proprietor of The award-winning Crooked Billet in Stoke Row and the Michelin-acclaimed London Street Brasserie in Reading.
Paul also hosts ‘Food on Friday’ on BBC Radio Berkshire. ‘Quality ingredients prepared pure and simple’ is Paul’s mantra!

Paul will be showcasing lockdown home-cooking ideas with store cupboard ingredients and produce you can still find in the shops.

Ross Brawn - In conversation with Graham Bell

Ross Brawn OBE (to give him his full title) is the household name who masterminded Michael Schumacher’s SEVEN world championships with Benetton and Ferrari.

In early 2009 he acquired the Honda F1 team to form BrawnGP which later that year won both the Constructors‘ and Drivers’ Championship with Jenson Button.

Ross sold BrawnGP to Mercedes in 2009 where he remained Team Principal.
He announced his retirement from F1 in 2014, however three years later in 2017 he was appointed as Managing Director of Motor Sports and Technical Director of F1.

Alistair is a Henley-based wine writer for Decanter Magazine and is a contributor to the Jancis Robinson website. He judges, consults and educated globally on all matters wine-related. Alistair is only one of less than 400 Masters of Wine in the world.

Join Alistair for a wine tasting session of three carefully chosen wines in conjunction with Crockers of Henley.

OKIEM is a pianist & composer whose music is described as “cinematic classical”. He creates his signature sound by combining piano, orchestral instruments and synthesizers.
He has toured on keyboards for many of the biggest artists in the music industry from Leona Lewis, to Tinie Tempah to opening up for John Legend & Prince.

Okiem looks forward to showcasing his original compositions at Henley Lockdown Fest whilst adding surprises of hit songs from well-known pop artists.

Henley Lockdown Concert: Natasha Hamilton

Singer-songwriter and a member of girl group Atomic Kitten. Natasha has so far released 19 singles, three studio albums with three number one singles and ‘Whole Again’ being the band’s biggest hit. Natasha sounding better than ever will be singing few of her Atomic Kitten tracks and her favourite songs to get the Saturday night party started.

House Party featuring DJ Jamie Taylor

A regular on the summer festival circuit, Jamie Taylor brings a very special one-off two hour dance classics set to close the Saturday night, direct from his bed room!

You’ll know Jamie as the go-to DJ for Henley Festival, Rewind and of course his infamous Regatta headline sets, so you can expect the very best tunes streamed straight to your house party.

Fresh from support slots with Norman Jay and opening for Basement Jaxx, Jamie promises us nothing but the best for a hometown lockdown.

Bertie Slippers is Oxfordshire’s premier children’s entertainer. Over the years he’s had the pleasure of entertaining thousands of happy kids.

Shaun Dickens Cooking Masterclass

Henley foodies will already be familiar with Shaun Dickens, he’s the owner and chef at Bistro at the Boathouse. .

For those not yet aware of Shaun (where have you been?) he’s an award- winning chef who has trained at some of the finest restaurants in the world, working closely with chefs of international repute including Raymond Blanc, Thomas Keller and Alan Murchison.

Shaun will be cooking Buttermilk fried chicken with pickled slaw, Jersey Royal potato salad and ranch dressing, just perfect for this good weather.

Ben Lee frontman of highly established party band in the UK, The Revue. Performing on the live circuit for over 15 years, Ben has travelled the world gigging for high-end clients, from royalty to Premiership footballers and Formula One GP to Henley Festival.

Ben will be performing some of this latest original tracks and his unique versions of hit classics that have been entertaining crowds for many years.

Acoustic Lockdown Sessions featuring Etham

Young singer-songwriter from Reading always dreamed of releasing his own music to the world. His first-ever EP has now had 7 million streams, while the video accompanying his track Better Now has had an incredible 9 million views. It is safe to say that Etham’s unforgettable voice and vulnerable pop songs have connected in a big way.

Etham will be going live performing his original material acoustically for Henley Lockdown Fest and will throw in a few covers from artists that have inspired him.

An Insight Into Handcrafted Silver

Young, talented emerging jewellers and silversmiths are developing specialist handcraft skills at a unique residential training course based in Dunsden, just outside Henley. Founded 26 years ago, Bishopsland Educational Trust is a charity that supports makers throughout their careers.

Five talented young people will demonstrate the creative process of making bespoke jewellery and silver objects. Their hand drawn sketches, copper maquettes and specialist techniques will be revealed.

Rugby Centurions Interview

The toughest membership in the world. Rugby Centurions applauds the extraordinary players who represented their countries in 100 international tests. CEO Chris Evans will be interviewing 2 England International rugby players with over 100 caps each and will be talking about the future developments of Rugby Centurions at Henley Lockdown Fest.

Both players played at Henley Rugby Club.

Rochelle Clark MBE is the most capped England rugby union player in history, having accumulated 137 caps in a glittering career. Clark represented England in four Women’s Rugby World Cups, winning the competition in 2014.

Tamara Taylor has represented England in four Rugby World Cups, including in the 2014 campaign in which the English won the tournament. Since, Taylor has captained England during the 2015 Women’s Six Nations Championship and won the 2017 RPA Player of the Year.

Forget Monkhouse and Forsyth, we’ve got Henley’s very own Bobby Davino coming in your living room for a classic chunk of family quizzing.

Once a regular superstar Henley quiz host, Bobby and his trademark orange boiler suit are back!

Some call him an enigma, some call him a flawed genius…To us, Bobby is a local legend with a cult following and he wants ANSWERS!

Henley Lockdown Concert: JG Collective

Frontman and Henley Lockdown Festival founder JJ, will be performing a live set during the two-day festival, aimed at bringing happiness back into the homes during these uncertain times.
Local music artist, founder and owner of Eight Ray Music, JJ has performed in most venues in and around Henley and grew up here whilst attending Danesfield school, Gillotts Secondary School and Henley College.

Such versatility allows JG Collective to cater for a diverse range of entertainment needs. A fact complemented by the band’s extensive repertoire which includes songs from the 1950’s right through to the latest hits.

JG Collective will provide spell-binding entertainment.

Henley Lockdown Concert: Adam Isaac

With years of gigging under his belt Adam has amassed quite a following whilst becoming something of a Henley favourite. Away from home, Adam has performed at events, venues and festivals all over the UK, Europe and even as far as Dubai, Jakarta and Sri Lanka. Adam notably came to the attention of none other than Sir Tom Jones where he coached him all the way to the Quarter Finals of The Voice.

Catch Adam and his guitar playing a mixture of well-known tunes and even a few originals on Sunday evening at 8:30.

Ben Ofoedu (Phats & Small) DJ set

Ben Ofoeduo most famous for being the former lead singer of the duo Phats & Small, with big hit ‘Turn Around’ released in 1998.

Partner to Vanessa Feltz, Ben will be closing the festival with a Funky House Mix.
